The charm of Mt. Moiwa
The vast panoramic scenery that spreads out from an altitude of 531 meters, and the beauty of the night view are among the best in Japan.
A spectacular view that has been enjoyed by the Ainu people as well.
Mt. Moiwa is located almost in the center of Sapporo. From the summit, which is at an altitude of 531 meters, you can see a panoramic view of the magnificent Ishikari Plain. The Ainu people used to call it “Inkar-us-pe (a place where you always go up to keep watch)” because of its sheer grandeur, and it was a mountain where they would go to keep watch.
From the Peak Observation Deck, you can see a 360-degree panoramic view of the cityscape of skyscrapers and the lush natural environment, and the night view is so beautiful that it has been selected as one of the “New Top 3 Night Views of Japan”. The lights and illuminations of Sapporo shine under the clear Hokkaido sky. They look beautiful in photos, and the glittering, jewel-like lights look even more vivid when you see them while enjoying the crisp air at the top of the mountain, providing us with even more excitement and emotion.
