Mt. Moiwa Sightseeing Road
A limited-time only drive that takes you up to the midway point of Mt. Moiwa!
On the south side of Mt. Moiwa, there is a 3.5 km drive that is open for use during the summer time only.
As you enjoy the changing scenery of nature from spring to autumn, you can also see the gradually expanding cityscape of Sapporo. If you’re lucky, you might even see animals such as the Ezo squirrels or Ezo sika deer.
With its scenery unique to Hokkaido, we recommend taking the Mt. Moiwa Sightseeing Road, where you can open your car windows and enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of nature!
The Chufuku Station has a parking lot with about 80 spaces
From the Chufuku Station parking lot, you can take the Mini Cable Car to the Peak Observation Deck.
Please enjoy the ride on the Mini Cable Car from the Chufuku Station.
During the summer season, you can also enjoy the 600m Nature Promenade.
*The trail is closed at around 18:00 due to the lack of lighting.

- Micro bus-type camper vans (capacity of 10 people or less) are treated as standard cars.

- Subject to closure in case of poor road conditions.
- When the Chufuku Station Parking Lot (about 80 vehicles) is full, entrance to the Sightseeing Road will be restricted.
- In effort to reduce the number of vehicles approaching the peak, the Sightseeing Road ends at Chufuku Station.
